Surgery in Santa Barbara, at Cottage Hospital

When you need brain or cerebrovascular surgery, where the operation happens matters as much as who performs it. Dr. Walcott sees patients at his Fletcher Avenue office and operates at Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital, a Comprehensive Stroke Center with a dedicated neurocritical care unit, 24-hour neurointerventional coverage, and a full neuroscience team. Consultation, surgery, and every follow-up visit take place minutes apart, in Santa Barbara. There is no drive to Los Angeles, and no handoff to a hospital your surgeon does not work in.

Dr. Walcott is a board-certified cerebrovascular and endovascular neurosurgeon with fellowship training in open cerebrovascular and skull base surgery (UCSF), endovascular neurosurgery, and stereotactic radiosurgery (USC), following residency at Massachusetts General Hospital and Harvard Medical School. He has treated more than 750 brain aneurysms and 500 ischemic strokes, authored over 160 peer-reviewed publications, and serves as site principal investigator for an NIH-sponsored stroke trial at Cottage.
