Research & Publications
Advancing cerebrovascular neurosurgery through clinical research and academic scholarship
Academic Profiles
Access my full body of published work across leading medical research databases.
Active Clinical Trials
Participating in multicenter clinical trials to advance evidence-based treatment for cerebrovascular disease.
ASPIRE Trial
Anticoagulation for Stroke Prevention and Recovery After Intracerebral Hemorrhage
The ASPIRE trial is a Phase III, randomized, double-blinded, multicenter clinical trial evaluating the efficacy and safety of anticoagulation compared with aspirin in patients with recent intracerebral hemorrhage and atrial fibrillation. The trial aims to determine whether apixaban is superior to aspirin for prevention of the composite outcome of any stroke or death from any cause.
Research Interests
My research focuses on advancing the understanding and treatment of cerebrovascular disease through both basic science and clinical investigation.
Brain Aneurysm Treatment
Flow diversion techniques, intrasaccular flow disruption devices, and endovascular approaches for complex cerebral aneurysms.
Cerebrovascular Genetics
Investigating the genetic and molecular basis of vascular malformations, including AVMs and moyamoya disease.
Stroke & Neuroprotection
Neuroprotective strategies for ischemic stroke, brain edema management, and cerebral ischemia outcomes research.
Stereotactic Radiosurgery
Proton beam and photon-based radiosurgery for cerebral AVMs, brain tumors, and functional neurological disorders.
Brain Vascular Mapping
Single-cell atlas of the human brain vasculature and detailed mapping of cerebrovascular anatomy.
Medical Device Innovation
Development and evaluation of neurovascular devices including flow diverters and surgical robotics.
